RAD graded examinations

Give your child the gift of grace, discipline, and creativity with our Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet classes at The London Academy of Dance.

Ballet offers children a strong foundation in posture, coordination, musicality, and self-expression. Dance also helps develop focus, confidence, and social skills—all while keeping them active and healthy.

With the RAD syllabus, your child will follow a structured, internationally recognised programme. Taking RAD examinations is an important step—it not only celebrates their progress but also provides official certificates that can be used later in life for dance school applications, college admissions, or even teaching qualifications.

Our ballet teacher, Ornella, is a proud member of the Royal Academy of Dance. This means she is fully qualified to teach the official RAD syllabus and to enter students for examinations. Your child will be learning from a certified professional dedicated to nurturing their skills.

GRADES

Our RAD Ballet classes are structured by grade, following the official Royal Academy of Dance examination framework. This ensures your child receives professional, internationally recognised training with the opportunity to take exams and gain certificates that support their future in dance.

Age Groups (guide only – final placement is based on ability and teacher assessment):

Pre-Primary in Dance: Ages 3–6
Primary in Dance: Ages 5–7
Grade 1: Ages 7+
Grade 2: Ages 8+
Grade 3: Ages 9+
Grade 4: Ages 10+
Grade 5: Ages 11+

✨ Spaces are limited – just 12 students per grade to ensure individual attention and quality learning.

Pricing:

£60 per grade, per month, per child
Sibling / multiple-child discount: £50 per child, per grade

With small class sizes, expert tuition from our certified RAD teacher (DBS checked), and a supportive learning environment, your child will gain strong technical foundations, confidence, and the best possible preparation for their RAD examinations.
